DAIPAN Collective
DAIPAN Collective has come together to promote the presence of butoh in the Seattle arts community and urban environments. As butoh celebrates its 50th year since emerging as a transgressive dance form in post-WWII Japan, we of DAIPAN coalesce to collaborate on productions and presentations, offer ongoing training, bring visiting artists to perform and teach workshops, share marketing and fundraising efforts, and contribute to community building.
DAIPAN Collective has been a Shunpike-affiliated group since April 2009.
