Open Satellite is a contemporary art exhibition hall for the Seattle metropolitan area. The residency-based program, staged three to four times annually, provides an opportunity for emerging and mid-career artists from outside the region to work for an extended period to create large-scale artwork in any medium. Open Satellite’s staff and advisors invite regional curators to select and curate the work, and collaborates with local artists, educators and community groups to stage ongoing public programs that support the core residency program.
Open Satellite has been a Shunpike affiliated group since May 2010.
