Backwards Ensemble Theatre Company

Backwards Ensemble Theater Company (BETC) is a Seattle performance company founded in 2005 that is currently producing its first full season. They are committed to supporting the growth of emerging artists while producing works of immediate relevance to their audience.
BETC was founded by Caleb Penn during his freshman year at Cornish College. That year Penn recruited over a dozen people to help him create his first show, Dreams, Oh Dreams. The 40 minute long piece was about pursuing dreams and battling oppressive doctrines, and was the perfect show to represent Backwards Ensemble's point of view.
BETC has been a partner artist of Shunpike since April 2008
