Welcome New Partner Artists and Sustainable Organizations!

Shunpike's Programs are growing faster than ever. We're providing more services to more arts groups and projects from more places around Seattle than ever before. In both of our main programs, we welcome new partners this spring.

In the Partner Artist fiscal sponsorship program, we've decided to move to a quarterly application cycle. The first round of new projects and organizations just came aboard and we're very excited to introduce them:

  • On the Meditation of Man and Dinosaurs, produced by Backwards Ensemble Theatre Company
  • Mother Courage, produced by Edge Theatre Ensemble
  • The K of D, produced by Renata Friedman and Braden Abraham
  • Implied Violence, a performance ensemble
  • Poet Populist, a project of Ampersand Arts
  • SNOW Project, a project by choreographer and dancer Allison VanDyke
  • The Ten Thousand Things, produced by Millenium Ten Productions
  • The Upstart Crow Project, led by Maria Dahvana Headley

The next application deadline is June 2. More info available on our website.

In the meantime, we've been talking with many good candidates for our Sustainable Organizations program services, and happily announce new partnerships with Open Circle Theater Company, Twelfth Night Productions, and renewed partnership with Degenerate Art Ensemble, and Music Works NW. We look forward to helping them attain their goals for this next year.

Accountability & the Arts: Crafting The Ask

Next month is the next installment of our Accountability & the Arts series. Crafting The Ask will be held Monday, June 16th at 7pm in the Seattle Center House. This session will offer advice for face-to-face donor solicitation. Whether a board member, artist, development staff, or avid supporter, this session will help you get down your pitch and ask for the support your project deserves. It will feature arts fundraising specialist Laurie de Koch, Passages Northwest Board Secretary Nancy Ward, and Shunpike's own Development Director, Rebeccca Olson.
