This series of free, public workshops is dedicated to helping Seattle-area arts organizations become more effective and efficient. It provides an opportunity for tomorrow's arts leaders to meet and learn from Puget Sound's top arts administrators. Topics covered include fiscal sponsorship, marketing strategy and fundraising.

The Shunpike is excited to announce the next installment of their successful Accountability & the Arts series. "Crafting the Ask" will be held Monday, April 14th at 7pm in the Seattle Center House. This session will offer advice for face-to-face donor solicitation, featuring Passages Northwest Development Director Laurie Johnson, Passages Northwest Board Secretary Nancy Ward, and Shunpike's own Development Director, Rebecca Olson.
The Shunpike is excited to announce the next installment of their successful Accountability & the Arts series. "Finding Support from Local Businesses" will be held Monday, April 14th at 7pm in the Seattle Center House. This session will offer methods and tools for identifying, contacting, and working with local businesses who want to sponsor small and emerging arts groups. It will feature Sue Guthrie, Senior Development Associate for the Seattle International Film Festival.
Through monetary sponsorship, in-kind donations, purchased advertising, or discounted rates, there are many ways a small business can enhance the resources of a small arts organization. In this one-hour workshop, find out how projects and organizations in the arts can reach out to some of the thousands of Seattle's local businesses and establish mutually beneficial relationships.

"Planning Effective Special Events" will be held Monday, February 11th at 7pm in the Seattle Center House. This session will offer strategies and techniques for maximizing the raising of funds and fun at special events. It will feature the talented local event-planning team of the Adventure School.
SEATTLE - The Shunpike is excited to announce the next installment of their successful Accountability & the Arts series. "Shoestring Marketing & Budget PR" will be held Monday, November 12th at 7pm in the Seattle Center House. This session will explore techniques for effective marketing with limited resources, featuring local PR consultant Jennifer Rice.
