Shunpike is Hiring – Arts Business Clinic Manager position

Shunpike, the nonprofit that fuels innovation in the arts, is hiring an Arts Business Clinic Manager to expand the capacity, reach and scope of its Arts Business Clinic by developing a volunteer corps of advisors and consultants and establishing a broad base of outreach and programming that engages the arts community throughout the region.

About the Position

The Arts Business Clinic Manager is tasked with the ongoing success of Shunpike’s Arts Business Clinic program, which provides direct advice, consultation and information resources to arts groups, leaders and projects in our region. Specific responsibilities include:

• Management and administration of ongoing Arts Business Clinic services
• Partnering with the Executive Director in the design and development of programs, products & services
• Coordination, cultivation & training of a small volunteer base
• Marketing & outreach to communities, artists, and arts nonprofits throughout the region
• Development of Shunpike’s knowledge base as a resource for members
• Coordination with Shunpike’s internal programmatic & administrative operations, and
• Supervision of interns.

The Arts Business Clinic Manager is a 28-hour/week salaried position with limited benefits. Salary is DOE. Occasional evening and weekend work is necessary. This position reports to the Deputy Director.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have a majority of the following skills and experience:

• Familiarity with and interest in serving the local arts community
• Volunteer coordination and management
• Curriculum development experience
• Community outreach experience
• PR and marketing experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Understanding of the basic principles of nonprofit administration
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite and the Mac operating system
