Shunpike’s Board of Directors today announced that Executive Director, Jennifer Barry, will be leaving the organization in March, when she and her family will return home to Melbourne, Australia.
Board President, Leah Baltus, said “Unfortunately, a serious family matter is calling her home, but we are deeply grateful for everything Jen accomplished during her tenure. In her 2.5 years at the helm of Shunpike, Jen has done an exceptional job transitioning the organization from its founding leadership, optimizing its systems and programs, and building long-term sustainability for the future. During her leadership Shunpike secured a prestigious Arts & Culture Pooled Fund grant from the Washington Women’s Foundation, introduced the innovative Hive Mind program, and led the development of a new strategic plan. She leaves the organization in its best-ever financial position and poised for its next chapter. Though we’re sad to see Jen go, we’re excited by the opportunity to welcome a new leader into the organization who can help us manifest our strategic plans and continue the essential work of Shunpike — serving more than 160 independent arts groups of all kinds and providing them with the services, resources and opportunities they need to forge their own paths to lasting success”.
Shunpike’s Board of Directors now invites qualified candidates interested in applying for the position of Executive Director to submit a resume and cover letter outlining their interest in, and qualifications for, the position to email@example.com. Cover letters should not exceed one page in length and must include salary requirements. Both documents should be submitted in .doc or .pdf format. Priority consideration will be given to applications received before February 1 , 2016.
The Board anticipates that in-person interviews will be held in Seattle in early-mid February. Candidates from outside the Seattle area will be responsible for any personal travel arrangements related to an interview.
