Andy FifeExecutive Director

Andy Fife joined Shunpike as Executive Director in September 2007. As the first full-time staff member, he directs programs and operations, manages communications and strategy, and performs consulting services in strategic planning, board development, organizational development, and financial services.

Before he began at Shunpike, Andy worked for many years managing arts endeavors in Seattle and other areas of the country. At Consolidated Works, Seattle's former multi-disciplinary contemporary art center, he served as Director of Operations, managing production and administration. His Seattle experience also includes Publicist for Seattle International Film Festival and coordinator for several projects and workshops in the area.

Originally from the Chicago-land area, Andy began founding, running, and working with organizations while still finishing his undergraduate degree in Performance Studies at Northwestern University. Included in the list of past accomplishments are a housing cooperative, a dance theatre company, a multi-disciplinary performance series, a recording studio, and several creative projects in performance and installation. Trained in acting, writing, and music, he still dabbles occasionally in creative endeavors including playing his trombone and adapting literature for performance.

Rebecca Olson, Development Director

Rebecca joined the Shunpike in December 2007 as the newest member of the Shunpike's full-time staff. As the Director of Development she manages fundraising for the Shunpike, and performs fundraising consultation services in grantwriting and individual giving for our clients.

Rebecca has been working in development for Seattle's non-profit sector for six years, and continues to work as the part-time Director of Development for Wooden O Theatre Productions. Before joining the Shunpike, she worked with the Seattle Center Foundation on Marion Oliver McCaw Hall, the Seattle Parks Foundation, and was a partner and founder of Oomph Fundraising Consultants.

A Seattle native, Rebecca received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting at the University of Utah, and spent several years working as an actress throughout the country before returning home to Seattle. She has worked with many local theatres including CHAC, Seattle Public Theatre, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Company and Wooden O Theatre Productions, and continues to work in the commercial sector of print, industrial, voice over and television.
